Programmes & Classes

Introduction

Warm Up for Work is an inclusive movement programme for people that have a physical demand in their job. It supports physical and mental wellbeing, by creating a habit of simple, effective exercise at the start of the working day.

Where safety is paramount, this will prepare people for physical labour, helping reduce the minor injuries that can occur, help wake people up and build team some team comradery.

  • It is accessible to everyone, and being short and simple means it can be embedded into ways of working easily.
  • It can be delivered from within the team so is a sustainable solution.
  • Changing our habits, especially ones relating to wellbeing, is hard. When you encourage people to start doing something small, in the working day and they start to feel a bit better, this can motivate further self led health changes.

Workshops

Introduction

Habits are in charge of a large part of our waking life, this is why changing our health feels challenging. Our brain creates habits to save energy, it’s trying to help. But when the wrong activities become habits, like the less healthy things we eat and drink, the poor routines, the negative thoughts, the angry way we react to things, it feels like a huge amount of will power needs to go into changing them. And we give up.

What’s covered

In this workshop we uncover how we can take small steps to change our habitual actions, so we stop having to rely on will power (that soon runs out), and make incremental improvements to our life, that stick!

The session includes discussion, practical skills, and a plan for personal change.

Introduction

This sessions is a mixture of learning, open discussion and practical activities. The session ends with everyone experiencing mindfulness practices, so people will leave feeling refreshed and calm for the rest of their day.

What’s covered

  • Introduction: The importance of sleep and rest for our health
  • Understanding what happens in our body
  • Are you sleeping enough?
  • The 4 fundamentals of getting sleep
  • The ‘tips’ on how to improve the quality of your sleep
  • When nothing else works we RELAX!

Introduction

Change is hard, whether that’s at home or work. We all know this, but yet we give little thought to our teams when we expect them to take on new projects or we change strategies. This is an excellent skill for periods of change, and as a way of increasing resilience levels in your teams.

What we cover

In this workshop we provide tools and activities that help us rethink change and uncertainty as possibility, potential and hope.

Introduction

Stress is a huge contributor to time off sick, poor work, staff turnover, yet sometimes it feels easier to ignore that it’s an issue because work needs to get done.

What we cover

In this session we develop a better understanding of stress, but more importantly teach tools and techniques for dealing with stressful times, and look longer term at how we reduce stress even in high performance environments.
